FIRST I HAVE TO TELL YALL ABOUT MORE ABOUT JON!!!  okay so last yall heard, we gave him & his mom a BoM and we talked about our church being unified worldwide... WELL! he read!!! he read the intro all the way through 1 nephi 5 in 2 days (and he said he had to read it a few times to understand) and then also read ether 2 & 3!! & he loved it! that was the only reading we gave him but he also did a BUNCH of research on his own about the early history of the church & he LOVES joseph smith & brigham young. he literally asks the perfect questions every time we talk to him & the spirit literally speaks through me when we talk. it is INCREDIBLE!  and then he came to church!!! he said it was all very foreign and new to him and that he wished he knew more about the church so things would make more sense:,) of course we told him it would all come in time.  he seems very excited & so are we!! in other news, we went to a revival service in a park one night ...

first off, im literally a cosmetologist. i cut 2 peoples hair this week & it was so fun.  second, our new mission president and his wife are super cool. we got to meet them on thursday at zone conference. they like to ride dirt bikes & surf behind their boat & they had 2 huuuge great danes before they left. im super stoked to get to know them better! i had a super cool experience on friday... we went to do service at a local thrift store again and the owner ladys son was there. his name is jon:) he is super smart but also super christian and he combines both so hes just intelligent... and he was asking me a bunch of questions about the church & the book of mormon and i was absolutely terrified but the spirit literally gave me the words to say. sis oliver said that i was saying words she didnt even know cause they were so smart sounding HAHA. it was soooo awesome!  one thing we talked about is that our church is a worldwide united church... other denominations m...

11 MONTHS AS A MISSIONARY! this week was a good week overall! we had some incredible little miracles that helped me re-realize how thankful I am to be a missionary and to be the lords hands in this work! but a piece of sad news first... we'll get it out of the way... corina told us she won't be attending church with us. she's the incredible lady who loves the book of mormon, keeps the law of chastity and word of wisdom, usually comes to church for both hours, the whole 9 yards. but she us very involved in her church as well and the pastor had her sign a sort of contract to show that she would be committing to attend all meetings of their church, including one at the same time as ours.. sound a little weird and fishy to me:,) but it was DEVASTATING honestly. I always feel the Spirit so strong in our lessons and I'm afraid we'll have to stop teaching her since she can't progress anymore. please keep her as well as us missionaries in yoir prayers so we can know wha...

some fun things: - went bowling on pday & we were the only people in there:,)  - had a district bbq on the 4th! - had a great turnout for our ward party, including our friend edgar!  - we started doing service at a thrift store!! my dream:,) - played volleyball TWICE! I'm getting really good, you'd be proud mom! our friends the Marquez girls go every time so it super good bonding on contact w them. - we last minute helped the greenwoods in their garden & Sister greenwood said we were an answer to prayers!!! - me & sis oliver have been playing so many games haha. phase 10, double solitaire, battleship... so fun! - JACOB CAME TO CHURCH!! he seemed to like it:) - had a super spiritual lesson with liz! she's struggling so much right now but she is soo strong & has so much faith! hard things: - a lot of lessons punched... I just have to remember it's summer & people are busy & have their own agency:,)  - 4th of July was a sad day... honestly harder th...

a gr8 weeeeeek!  some highlights: - went to Ruidoso and did a hike with our district last week! it's one 2 of places in our mission with mountains and pine trees:,) - found 4 people!! one is a media referral and the other 3 are a father and his w teenage sons that we found when we randomly knocked on their door. it was pretty exciting! Sister Oliver's last area was pretty tough so she was super stoked about finding all of them:) - we got a new mission president and met him over zoom on Thursday night! so crazy. we're gonna miss pres & sis child but are SO stoked for pres & sis langeveld... keep them in your prayers! - Friday we spent the entire day in roswell at their annual alienfest. we helped set up and run errands in the morning & sat at a booth in the afternoon. then we were in a parade at night.. me & elder draper wore blow up among us suits that a lady gave us and pinned our tags on the front... we ended up winning $250 for having the most crowd inter...
