Week 49!

first off, im literally a cosmetologist. i cut 2 peoples hair this week & it was so fun.

second, our new mission president and his wife are super cool. we got to meet them on thursday at zone conference. they like to ride dirt bikes & surf behind their boat & they had 2 huuuge great danes before they left. im super stoked to get to know them better!

i had a super cool experience on friday... we went to do service at a local thrift store again and the owner ladys son was there. his name is jon:) he is super smart but also super christian and he combines both so hes just intelligent... and he was asking me a bunch of questions about the church & the book of mormon and i was absolutely terrified but the spirit literally gave me the words to say. sis oliver said that i was saying words she didnt even know cause they were so smart sounding HAHA. it was soooo awesome!

one thing we talked about is that our church is a worldwide united church... other denominations may be worldwide but they dont teach the same doctrine across the world. but if i went to a ward in germany, the sunday school lesson would be the same as going here in artesia. that really impressed him & also his mom. we gave them both copies of the book of mormon!!

so for my fellow missionaries, use your talents and interests in the work! if it werent for my love of thrifting, i would not have met debbie & jon and they wouldnt be as open to the church as they are now. god sent you to your specific mission for a reason! you & your personality!

the find, teach, & baptize work has been slow here but the love & connect work has been going strong so i am thankful!!
