Week 19!!! Merry late Christmas everyone!!! Fun fact about Sister Avery... she went to SUU for a year before she came out on her mission, doesn't really wanna go back tho:,) Christmas miracles are really yall! Remember how I've been having the worst couple weeks with lessons punching and not being able to find new people to teach?.. well it's still hard BUT WE HAD SOME GOOD LESSONS AND FOUND NEW PEOPLE!!  We found Crystal Willis sitting on her porch in 15⁰ weather:,) she had met with missionaries before in El Paso and lost her book of Mormon in the move so we gave her one and shared a verse. We found Priscilla as well and taught her and her two cute kids the parable of the candy cane! We found out that her husband used to go to our church so he's familiar with us. We found Teresa on accident by knocking on the wrong door! She invited us in, we shared a Christmas message and the spirit was so strong! Crystal, Priscilla, and Teresa were all found in the span of 2 hours!! ...

Week 18! It's officially CHRISTMAS WEEK YAY! I also hit 4 months this past week:)) Fun fact about Sister Avery... she has hiked the highest peak in every county in Utah! she even has a blanket with pictures at the top off all of them on it. how sick is that?! This week waaaaas honestly kinda the worst haha. It felt very unproductive but not cause we didn't have anything planned cause maaaan we did, pretty much everything just cancelled:,) being a missionary is TOUGH sometimes haha.. but I'll share a couple little miracles we had!  We were able to finally get a lesson with Crystal and John this week! Doug also came with us which was perfect, he shared some amazing personal experiences and insights that really helped them. They're still on track for baptism, they know what they have to do, they just need to work through their issues. Pray for them! We also did some service for a member in our ward, Sister Wilson, the lady that works at the jail. We shared the parable of t...

Week 17! Christmas is in less than 2 weeks WOW time is flying. Fun fact about Sister Avery... she played the saxophone in marching band and was also the drum major. I want her to play careless whisper but she didn't bring her sax with her:( We started off the week with a PDAY HIKE how fun... didn't think there was any elevation change at all here in west Texas but some elders found a hike. Got a bunch of cactus pricker things stuck in my leg whoops buuuut it was fun! I had exchanges Tuesday-Wednesday! Hopped on over to Shadow Hills with Sister Beesley and Sister Williams and it was awesome. It was Sister Williams last full week in the mission last week so she was going OFF with the finding and teaching it was crazy awesome. We had a couple funny lessons, one of which with a drunk shirtless guy who kept calling us pretty and saying that he was "Pentecostal and Baptist and Mormon and Baptist." An icon:,) We also went to bahama bucks cause it was free sno day! All of our...

Week 16 yaaalllll first week of transfer 3!! So happy to be staying here in Lubbock through Christmas:,) I got a new comp and her name is Sister Avery! She got to the mission 1 transfer before me and she's been in a tiny town called Eastland which is between Abilene and Dallas. Lubbock is a lot different for her compared to her last area BUT it's been a pretty busy week so I think it's been good haha. One of the highlights this week was our involvement in a local nativity event. There were hundreds of nativities collected and displayed and there was a concert as well. The stakes in lubbock put it on but it was free and open to the public, put out on social media, all the things.  I was in a big choir of missionaries that was able to perform for a special luncheon for town leaders, religious leaders from other faiths, and some of the main contributors... honestly such a cool experience and the spirit was super strong. The actual event was on Friday and Saturday night and the...
