Week 75!

i dont even know how to talk about all the amazing things from the past week & a half... im just so grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary, that i get to play a small role in helping people come closer to christ!!

transfer news! crazy that it was my last one... next time theyll make some joke like "your new companion will be eternal... choose wisely" or something like that:,,,,)

but im staying here & my new companion will be SIS RICKS! shes SO FUN i am seriously so excited. she is one of the funniest people ive ever met and she works super hard. im gonna miss sis oliver so much but shes goin up to amarillo by morning & she'll kill it there.

its been WILD over here in the YSA! i love it... this is one of the most fun areas ive ever served in & the work is so good. heres some highlights...

- SARAH!!!! she is incredible & i could write my whole email about her haha. she kind of fell into our laps from the sisters in heritage... in their pass off lesson, they put her on date to be baptized on FEBRUARY 10TH!!!! in the last week & a half, weve taught her a few lessons & she already has a testimony of all of it. she pulled up to a lesson with a triple combination with her name on it & i joked with her "put that away... people are gonna think youre already a member!" haha

- MON!! mon is a queen, shes been taught literally everything, but we're just waiting for her to be ready to be baptized. we had a lesson with her yesterday & she told us that she wants to finish the BoM before she decides for sure to be baptized. i have so much respect for her for making that decision, she wants to make sure she believes for herself & can defend the faith. shes in mormon soooo shes not too far away from the end!

- OUR RECENT CONVERTS! wow theyre amazing... we have 8 total i think? thats what ya get when youve got 3 sets of missionaries covering campus haha. liset is one of the coolest ones in my opinion. she has only been baptized for a few months & shes already faced so much opposition... every lesson she tells us about another person who tried to get her to go clubbing or drinking but every time she tells us that she says no and immediately goes to listen to a talk to strengthen her spiritually! another one is sophia & in our lesson with her this week, she told us that she was reading her "B Morm" when she was having a hard day and she got the strong impression that she should work towards serving a mission!!! im just so inspired by these people holy

- MLC! always a highlight! it was more like a zone conf than a council but it was still good!

- MARK POPE & THE BYU GAME!!! friday night we went to a YSA devotional at the tech stadium... met some players, heard some widsom from coach pope, and then when we went up to get a picture with him, he offered us tickets to the game the next day! the game was AWESOME! it was definitely weird to be in that environment but super fun too.

those were some of the bigger things from this week! feeling super grateful that i get to finish out here!

we had a lesson this morning & we got talking about how king lamonis father said he would give up all his sins to know god... thats a BIG undertaking. often we are our own worst enemy & overcoming ourselves is the biggest challenge. luckily we know we dont have to go it alone, we have a savior to walk with us each step of the way.

while we were talking about this, i thought of how powerful the title of SAVIOR is! not only can christ save us from our sins, but he can save us from ourselves! even when we dont feel like we measure up or that we are past saving, christ proves thar wrong. he loves us SO MUCH! he loves YOU! youre never too far to be saved, christ goes after the one!
