Week 62!
super great week... feelin grateful!
-we were up in abilene for pday so we went fishing & played a ton of sports which I've been missing. felt like lubbock days!
-i stayed in abilene until wednesday morning on an exchange with sister cassidy and WOW it was awesome. we saw a couple cool miracles together, one of which was putting their friend theresa on date for baptism! she is one of the most inspiring women ive ever met; shes made a complete 180 in her life, started meeting with the missionaries & decided on her own to quite smoking weed because she said "its interfering with my ability to understand what yall teach & what i read in the Book of Mormon." sooo basically i gotta figure out how to get to abilene for her baptism on nov 25th cause shes one of the most prepared people ive ever met!
- we had dinner with a member who was on the dunk team & was also cosmo during his time at byu... he told us his most random gig as cosmo was some 30 yr old ladys bachelorette party HAHA so funny.
- i learned a new board game called azul with the weavers & hammonds! that was epic.. i love games:)
- we did service out at the ranch again & we rescued their brand new baby calf (which we named Pumpkin). while we were holding her on the tractor driving her back, she peed all over my jeans & boots hahah.
- i carved jesus into a pumpkin! pretty proud of myself for it tbh
ive been working through the BoM, trying to finish the day i go home. i just barely started mosiah so this past week i read through enos, jarom, and omni. such short books! i usually basically skim those cause theyre so short but this time something struck me... these were righteous men who did the lords work but didnt write their experiences! you remember hearing about chemish? nah didnt think so. what about Amaleki? probably not. but omni 1:26 is his brief testimony & its POWERFUL! i wish he had his own chapter cause I'd love to hear the miracles hes seen that gave him that testimony.
i learned 2 things from that... never compare your testimony to someone elses. yours is powerful & it is your own! and also, write down your miracles & spiritual experiences! someone down the line will be very grateful.
overall, im feeling better this week:) thanks for the encouraging emails & letters... yall rock!
yeehawwww love yall! never hesitate to reach out! I'd love to hear from you:)
