Week 57!

it's been so long since i've written an email i feel like... so much has happened in the past week & a half. all you missionary pals that only write emails once a transfer... how do you do it?! haha i feel like i'm missing so much. BUT HERE GOES!

we got transfer news on tuesday! me & sis beames are staying together which means I will be her final companion of her mission cause she goes home in 6 weeks AH! president langeveld nuked the mission again this transfer:,) but something so exciting... there's going to be a new sister companionship sharing our ward & area with us!! literally the biggest answer to prayers because we are so overwhelmed right now haha. it'll be interesting to see how all the logistics shake out!

some highlights:
- ate lamb head last week and cow head this week... Homie Wallace is really educating me:,)
- we had mission tour!! elder dunn from the seventy came (listen to his talk called "one percent better") & him and his wife gave some awesome instructions... super insightful & the spirit was very strong! i was able to have a really amazing one-on-one interview with him where he gave me some really good counsel. he told me he admires my "quiet confidence & vulnerability." pretty cool haha
- we also had MLC! it was WILD... went from 8:30-4:30 so we were dead by the end but we had some super productive discussions. president langeveld is so inspired & allows us to participate in truly leading the mission... i'm grateful for him!
- our bishop came into ward council on sunday wearing a pair of dirty Hey Dudes with his suit... honestly the most west texas thing i've ever seen:')
- we finally passed out our ward mission plans! yay for being fellow servants in this work!
- HOMIE BOUGHT ME BOOTS! such a sweet kind soul. i feel like a true texan now... just thrifted some awesome jeans today to go with them too
- we had an amazing lesson with Christina! we finally figured out how to teach her so she understands... she's praying about a new baptismal date of Oct. 14th so please keep her in your prayers!
- we also had a fire lesson with Quentin... i said something during the lesson and he goes "wow you're my favorite mormon now." the highest honor coming from him!! he soaked up the restoration lesson and seemed super intrigued about conference so we're really excited about that

a quick spiritual insight... I brought up a concern to my mission president & he gave me the most inspired advice... "I have 3 categories: things I know, things I believe, and things I desire to believe. and i'm okay having things in all 3 categories as long as i'm continually learning and growing." so I want yall to know that, even if you don't have a perfect understanding or even a simple testimony of something, that is okay. take alma 32:27 and make it your new motto! the mission has shown me how much i know but also how much i don't know.. and that's okay! it has taught me how to have faith & believe!

ANYWAYS love yall so much! sorry this was a longer one... monday's email will be significantly shorter:')
