Week 42!
update on "our dog" trashy... haven't seen her since last week:( hope she found a home tho!
we had exchanges this week & sweet hermana flake came to Artesia with me! WE FOUND 2 PEOPLE! we found amber at a random stop by we were doing and we found raquel over the phone after she sent in a referral. both times, the spirit was SO strong when we testified. i just love Sister Flake, she is so strong and loving and selfless! a good example to me.
we did some good service this week! we helped with a move (classic missionary moment), supervised at a community teen movie night in a park, played bingo at a nursing home (also classic), made playdough with a lonely mom in our ward, and worked out with another one! I'm really trying to pick up the service in this area because there wasn't much when i got here and I saw it work little miracles in eastland
we taught a few good lessons this week as well!
finally did a video call with jacob so I got to see his face. he's so kind and just wants the best for his family. because he's so busy he's gonna progress really slow but I know that he wants this!
we taught David and Sandra.. well David taught us hahaha it felt like a sermon. made me realize I wanna be extra careful about involving everyone through questions during lessons. we straight up asked if membership in this church is something he's looking for right now and he said no so we're going to give them a rest:,)
we also taught raquel and her son Jose! the lesson was kind of a mess because the member that came with us got off track like twice:,) but it was powerful to see that the spirit was there when we testified of what we know and believe.
everyone in the TLM bore their testimony in sacrament meeting yesterday because it was President and Sister Childs last fast Sunday here... Sister Child keeps posting her homecoming talk time and location on Facebook and I'm like "oooo trunkyyy" hahaha. but in reality it was cool to feel the power of the mission uniting in testifying of our savior.
SEE THE THEME!? sharing your testimony= power!! even if you think your testimony is inadequate I promise it's not. one of my favorite things to testify of is God's love. it's a simple truth but for others, it is usually exactly what they need to hear. and as you testify, your testimony grows! I've seen that in my life in the past 9 months!
anyways this is getting long BUT I love being a missionary. it's hard a lot of the time but I'm also SO happy!
if you ever need anything, feel free to reach out. I'm always here!!! love yall!
