Week 37!

anotha week in good ol eastland maaaan hahah!

we had zone conference! so we came up to abilene last pday to stay with the senior couple here.. THEYRE THE BEST! and then hanging out with the zone on pday was awesome.

zone conference the next day was fire! we talked a lot about the doctrine of christ (if you don't know what that is, you should study it!! it's awesome), the fall & the atonement, and President Nelson's "Peacemakers Needed" talk from conference. I also did a special musical number! so thankful for the piano, it's been a stress reliever since being on my mission hahah.

ELLIE CAME TO CHURCH! yesterday was only the second time in this area that i've ever had someone were teaching come to church.. and I've been here for 4 months haha. and we happened to both be giving talks about repentance and the joy we can find in it which I think really touched her:)

we did a lot of service this week! we helped at the nursing home and the food bank but we also spent some time in seminary. Sister stillwell has been the seminary teacher for 11 years but her husband's health has drastically declined (diabetes and stage 4 cancer) and so she has a harder time knowing for sure if she's gonna be able to teach. on Friday, we were prepared to teach the lesson but last minute she was able to come. and she gave the most incredible lesson about the good shepherd!!!

john 10:27-28 says "(27) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
nothing can take us out of the hands of our Savior!! he will never let us go. I thought about myself... when someone or something gets really frustrating after I've put effort into it, I just throw my hands up and say "alright whatever" and abandon it for a time. Jesus Christ will never abandon us, he will never throw his hands up, we are always right there in his loving arms! nothing we do or anyone else does can pluck us out of his hands!

I'm thankful for my mission. I'm thankful for the people I've met and the service I've done. but most of all I'm thankful that it has brought me closer to my Savior!

love yall SO much!
