Week 26!

holy guys it's the last full week of the transfer, we're gonna find out if Sister Sanders will be leaving me on Saturday night:,( PRAY SHE STAYS haha.
fun fact about her... she kills on the piano, plays some super fancy stuff like Chopin and Beethovan... but she can't play the hymn "i heard the bells on Christmas day" which I understand... that one's hard for no reason

we helped with a seminary class this past week and we were talking about why we have to ask God for blessings through prayer. if God is all knowing and loving and powerful, doesn't he know how and when to bless us without us asking? Sister Stillwell brought up a super important point that I hadn't thought of... God loves us SO much, obviously he wants to bless us! but he's not going to take away our agency. asking for help and blessings is our way to access it, to choose it.
that being said, we may choose to ask for blessings that aren't God's will and not receiving those is hard. but God has a perfect knowledge of our timing and he WILL bless us in the way we need when we most need it!

learning that this week was really helpful. we had a slower week (again) and during it, we felt like our prayers were going unanswered, even though we were choosing to ask God for specific blessings. but, looking back, I saw a lot of tender mercies, though small, that added up to some great things! some small things may add up to great things later! I have faith!

some highlights:
-exchanges with Sister Wildman! she is an inspiring sister
-we taught activity days! did a "day in the life of a missionary" thing... so cute
-served at a nursing home... did a Bible study with a guy named Richard and painted some sweet ladies' nails
-Sister Keller ordered us sonic drinks!
- doug (from lubbock) came to dinner with us and the madores on friday! he had work in abilene so he came after that... it was good to see him
-taught the plan of salvation a few times.. there's truly a special spirit there when we teach it. I believe our ancestors are there watching and cheering us on as we share that good news with families!
-watched part of the super bowl at the williams lake house with the branch presidency :,)

even when things are hard, when they don't go our way, when we get discouraged... I still KNOW that God is in control, there are other factors at work, and that he knows the people we come in contact better than we do. he knows YOU! and he is anxiously waiting to bless you with what you most need!

if you have the time, message me or email me a tender mercy from God that you saw this past week! I would LOVE to hear:)

LOVE YALL!!!
