Week 24!

fun fact about Sister Sanders... she can't open plastic water bottles to save her life so I always have to open them for her haha!

NEWS FLASH missions are hard guys haha. the past couple weeks have been tougher... we were so tired, everything was falling through, we felt like all of our efforts were not fruitful. and we're out here in Eastland all by ourselves but I talked to my mission president about it in our interview after zone conference. I was telling him how I was struggling in the area but as I was talking, I realized that no matter how sad I am on Mondays or how tired I am on Thursdays or anything, I'm generally happy all week while we're doing missionary work! so even though it's hard cause I don't get the same social satisfaction out here, I'm still being blessed. president described it as God making up for it... he knew this area was going to be hard for me so he's blessing me with joy in the work during the week. he will bless us! maybe not in the way we expect but he will, especially when we are trying our best to do his work even when it's hard!

in other news, we had zone conference on Tuesday and it was AWESOME! We talked about the power of the Atonement and repentance as well as the Book of Mormon... 2 of my favorite things, we got Red Robin for dinner before we headed back to the Boonies HAHA.
we volunteered at the foodbank on Wednesday and Friday... so great. I wanna grow up to be like the people that volunteer there, they are hilarious.
we gave a book of mormon to someone on saturday! they were so excited about it, blown away that it was free, and said they would read it. we're calling him later this week to see how it went!
yesterday, we went to dinner at a less active members home. FIRST TIME HAVING GRITS! it was actually good with some eggs and sausage mixed in. we talked to her son about a mission! he really feels like he needs to go, like everything is pointing to it, but he's scared to leave his mom alone (she has health problems and they're pretty poor) and he's 25 so he's almost too old. he's gonna pray about it every day this week and we're gonna fast about it together on Sunday. if you'd like to join in the fast with us, that would be GREAT. his name is Dylan Morgan.

if you've been studying something cool this week and would like to share, send me an email! today's gonna be busier so i might not respond but I WILL read it!

love yall so much!
