Week 22!

week 22!! 5 months as a missionary WHAAAAT!

fun fact about Sister sanders, she showed goats in fair auctions in high school! made big bucks from it:,)

First week in Eastland maaan it was wild. a lot happened, I'll just go day by day.

Monday was so sad:,( it was my last day in lubbock so saying goodbye to everyone was a rip BUT it was fun! went to a cool antique shop.

Tuesday was transfers, rode up in the van with a couple of my Lubbock friends and met Sister sanders!! she is the cutest ever and she's SO NICE.. very motivated missionary.

Wednesday we had district council in Brownwood about an hour from Eastland. the elders in our district are hilarious I love them. we also went and helped a lady in our branch feed her goats! there were 35 baby ones and we bottle fed one.

Thursday we headed to Cisco, one of the closer towns in our huge area:,) We walked up and down main for a bit and met some shop owners! small town people are so kind and their accents are so thick cause they've been living here their whole lives I love it. we found a couple potential people that day which was a win.

Friday we helped at the local food pantry and MAAN the people that work there are hilarious. one of the ladies owns 140 pairs of shoes and she talked about them for like 20 minutes. we ate dinner with the Madore family, they take us to a place called pizza heaven every Friday.. LOVE THEM they're awesome. we also taught gary a lesson, he's our most progressing person. he's super cool, african american in his 60's, is a very big "hallelujah praise Jesus" kind of guy.

we went out to Breckenridge on Saturday, about 45 min from Eastland. we visited a couple members and a couple friends.. talked to some crazy people probably on drugs, and taught a lesson to a lady named lacy. she has a lot of health issues and has a lot in her family as well so we tried to comfort her and invited her to read the Book of mormon.. high hopes for her. the madores fed us again, this time Philly cheesesteaks, they live in ranger THE SUPER SKETCH TOWN but they live in and old church they converted into a house! it's SO COOL.

Sunday we both spoke AND taught Sunday school, yay for being in a branch. gary and his grandson came to church and they both liked it which was awesome! our car started leakin lots of oil during church so they're gonna have to tow it to abilene to fix it, which means we don't have a car for the foreseeable future.... pretty much makes it impossible to do much work out here in this area cause it's so big and spread out BUT we'll make it work.

quiiiick spiritual thought... who are you really? maybe you're a missionary, a sister, a basketball player, a diet coke lover.. how would you describe yourself? well don't forget the most important thing about you... THAT YOURE A CHILD OF GOD! once you remember that and live by that, you will be a greater light to others and you will see others as children of God as well, not by their labels. go read the lyrics to "brightly beams our fathers mercy" and think about how you can use the knowledge of who you are to help others come to christ!

love yall! biiiiig hugs to you if you made it this far! pdays are super chill out here so feel free to email me I'll probably email you back:,)
