Week 15!

Week 15:)

Week 15! And end of transfer 2! Wiiiiiild. Transfer news: staying here in lubbock north for at least 6 more weeks and I'll be getting a new companion named Sister Avery! Stay tuned:P

Last fun fact about Sister Adams :,,( she is terrible at roasting people HAHA. some backstory... we decided that our last comp goal was going to be that we were gonna roast each other and tease each other in order to strengthen our bond even more... :,) I don't know. But I have been throwing out the most FIRE roasts ever and she's maybe said ONE good one all week.. I guess that just means she's super kindddd and genuineee ughhh hahah

Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!! Hope it went well and that everyone took some time to think about how much God has truly blessed us. We are so lucky to be his children!! He's the greatest father ever and we also have the BEST older brother too. I'm thankful for Jesus christ and his sacrifice for me:)
We had THREE Thanksgiving dinners and maaaan I felt chubby afterwards. But all the members were so sweet to have us over. There were a lot of people at 2 of them so it kind of felt like a big family dinner at home which was fun.

Bad and good news.. we had to stop teaching Jessica which was really hard. She's been meeting with missionaries for about 6 months and no one has really got her progressing much until us. She was reading the Book of Mormon on and off for a couple months but last night she finally told us she does not believe in our view of God's power and the priesthood. Hard conversation to have, still invited her to keep reading the book of Mormon and to reach out when she's ready to keep learning. BUUUUT our good friend PJ we kind of found by accident a couple weeks ago, HE CAME TO CHURCH! he loved it and felt the spirit so strong! We're working on reactivation him cause he was lost basically for like 30 years. He's progressing really really well! As a missionary, you win some you lose some but in the end, you know they're in good hands, God's hands, and that whether we're meeting with them or not, they're not forgotten!

Everyone listen to these 2 talks if you get the chance!!

I've been studying a lot about the the power of the Atonement recently, learning about the REDEEMING power and the ENABLING power. The talks really helped me understand the difference, how important they are, and how I can apply them both in my life!
Short summary...
1. The redeeming power is to help us "put off the natural man." Through using it, we can be cleansed from our sins. Using this power helps us overcome our innate weakness that came with the fall, simply that we are human and susceptible to tempations.
2. The enabling power is to strengthen us as we improve little by little, working to become saints. Using this power helps us overcome the trials and tribulations that come at us daily, those little weaknesses that can get us down.

Basically, Jesus Christ's atonement is infinite. He's got us covered in ALL aspects of life! He has already made the sacrifice, all we have to do is recognize and utilize the power that came from it. ITS SIMPLE! I am just so thankful that my weakness does not define me and that I will always have a friend to lean on in my trials. God is good and so is his Son!!!! Let me know your thoughts and insights on this if you have any!

Love yall. Miss yall. Lots of yall here in Texas:,) but seriously yall mean the world to me!! Reach out if you need anything!
