Week 7!

Week 7?.. i dont know if i'll be able to keep this week thing up buuut im not clever enough to come up with witty stuff for the subject line so it's kind of my only option hahah.

We went to the fair last pday! So fun to change it up... I'll be putting some pictures in from that.

I started to fall ill this week unfortunately.. common colds are no joke ha. We had to stay home for part of Wednesday and basically all of Thursday cause I couldn't breath out of my nose and couldn't keep my eyes open... I slept a lot this week BUT I feel a lot better now so I think it was worth it. I know I'll be able to do better work now that I'm feeling up to par.

Miraculously we still found people to teach! Social media referrals came in clutch this week and we have lessons set up with 2 new people next week! God's work moves forward even when some of his servants are feelin under the weather :)

To be honest this week's been weird... it's been slow, I've had a lot of time to sit and think. For all you missionaries out there you know what that means.... I got TRUNKY. That was a new word for me when I got here so I'll define; basically feeling trunky means you just wanna pack up your trunks and go home, usually because of someone or something you're missing. Now, I LOVE all the friends ive made here in lubbock and I love my mission but I also miss so many people that aren't here with me. I was watching some old videos and looking at old pictures -I KNOW I KNOW I was asking for it- BUT when I was looking at all of those, I realized the vast majority of the people I miss, my friends from my senior year all the way through to my friends in college, are all on missions too! I realized I shouldnt be trunky because even if I did pack up my trunks and go home, none of them would even be there (except my eternal friends of course, shout out to my cool family hahaha). ANYWAYS it was a cool realization for me that wow, we are really all out here serving the lord, all the way across the world, for 1.5+ years. MIND BLOWING! Can't wait for 2024 when we will all be home partying together:)

CONFERENCE WAS AWESOME! I want to read over my notes and re listen to some of the talks before i share my thoughts about it but man I hope yall got a chance to watch because it was truly inspiring.

I KNOW THIS CHURCH IS TRUE! I think I knew before (you would think ya know since I'm on a mission) but it was reaffirmed to me yesterday.. we had a lesson with one of our friends named Jessica who we LOVE! she is so in tune with the spirit and she loves God and she loves the missionaries! We tried reading the book of Mormon with her and inviting her to church but she is dead set on her Bible study and her mega church down the street. She said she feels God's love and the holy ghost when she does those things so she doesn't feel like she needs to change and MAN that was so frustrating for me. We left the lesson and I was almost in tears I was so mad (which is a big deal cause I almost never cry lol) but I just wanted her to feel the deeper love of the gospel so bad it hurt! In the depths of my painnnn i realized that I'm feeling that way because I love it and I know that it's true!!! Such a weird way to reaffirm the knowledge I think I already had buuut it works!

I hope yall had an amazing relaxing weekend! I miss yall so much!
