Week 1!

FRIENDS HI!!

wow crazy that I am the one writing the email now, not skipping down to the pictures of everyones :,) I will NOT be offended if you do that I promise BUT for those who want to read, I will try to keep it short

home mtc is wild..... not really. I have been pretty bored because we have had a lot of open time that we are supposed to fill on our own with good, wholesome activities. I have been spending a lot of time with my family though which is awesome! We got gelato one night, played tennis, ran errands a couple times, played some cards... overall fun stuff! anything to keep me busy, bonus points if it's walking around and even more if it's outside the house hahah

I am also SO BLESSED that one of my best friends is my companion!! shout out sister syd merrill :) we were able to spend a day together at my house last week where we had lunch with the missionaries, practice taught a lesson to my mom, and surprised our district with hopping on the afternoon class zoom call on the same screen WHATTT! I was also able to meet another girl in my district, shout out sister wilkerson, and we met up at the mesa temple to do an endowment session... side note temples are BEAUTIFUL and the spirit is so strong there:)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my district they are all so dope and have taught me so much, even online so I cannot wait until we all finally meet in person and get to hug and shake hands and hang all day. One of my favorite things about the mtc so far is the unity. even though everyone in my district is so different, like we all have different interests and personalities, we all get along and are even friends because we are all united in a common purpose: to learn and grow our testimonies and prepare to bring salvation to souls!!

Spiritual thought this week... I could write essays about all of the things I learned so it's hard to pick just one BUUUUT I won't bore you with that.
As missionaries, the first lesson isn't actually lesson one in preach my gospel, its not actually the restoration, its US! We are the first lesson we will ever teach! this was such a common theme throughout everything we talked about all week that I don't even remember who originally said it but it really hit home AND it applies to everyone, not just missionaries!! The craziest thing is that everyone who is trying to be like Jesus has his light with them. It is important how we carry ourselves, how we treat others, how we speak and act, because we never know who is watching! 3 Nephi 5:13 says, "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." SO SICK THAT VERSE IS TALKING ABOUT ME! AND YOU! AND EVERYONE THAT LOVES CHRIST!

anywaysss this got longer than I thought dang it but HEY I LOVE YOU ALL!! message me on facebook or email me if you need anything!
